Department Summary The University of North Texas seeks a highly motivated, goal-oriented and energetic fundraiser with a proven track record of closing gifts and exceeding measurable performance goals. The Director of Development will join a division with dynamic and visionary leadership focused on advancing a donor-centric mission and building a vibrant team who will strategically increase philanthropy and propel the university’s tremendous potential. Position Description We are seeking a professional with a highly cooperative spirit, strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to relate to multiple constituencies and to represent the University with tact, diplomacy and passion. The Director of Development works in collaboration with colleagues in the Division of University Advancement and the Colleges of Education and Health & Public Service to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward leadership annual gifts, sponsorships and major gifts in support of college priorities. The Director of Development will assist with fundraising for major initiatives and several signature events per year. One of the goals for this position includes developing and maintaining an engaged alumni base and corporate community by collaborating with the appropriate boards, faculty, alumni and other supporters. The position reports to the Executive Director of Development and works closely with Deans, Faculty and University volunteers. |
Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree and four years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, public relations, or sales: or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
