Nominations Are Open for the 2019 Greater Dallas Chapter AFP NPD Awards

National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day celebrates the great contributions that philanthropy and those who work in the philanthropic process make to our community. The Greater Dallas Chapter of AFP was among the first to begin celebrating National Philanthropy Day. Today, our celebration and luncheon involves over 500 AFP members and community leaders.

The deadline is April 15, 2019 to nominate those in our community who exemplify commitment, dedication and talent toward helping their neighbors.

On Friday, November 9, 2018, over 500 community, non-profit and business leaders joined members of the North Texas philanthropic community as the Greater Dallas Chapter of AFP proudly recognized its 2018 National Philanthropy Day Award honorees at a gala luncheon at the Hyatt Reunion Dallas. These six remarkable individuals and organizations have raised and given millions of dollars to support causes that benefit our city and its citizens.

William Bryant, Jr., 2018 National Philanthropy Day Luncheon Chair, hosted a program that included a Presentation of Colors by the Boy Scouts of America and remarks by Rodney D. Bullard, Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. Scott Murray returned as our Master of Ceremonies, introducing the honorees with short films that profiled their accomplishments along with their acceptance speeches:
