Minimum Qualifications: |
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
Qualifications
- 4+ years of development experience within nonprofit organizations
- Proven track record of success in grant writing
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and/or a quota of over $1M annually
- Proven relational and leadership capabilities
- Current donor network
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new donors/foundations
- High energy, positive, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, high teamwork capacity, and attention to detail;
- high degree of initiative.
- Strong verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Experience with social media campaigns and reporting
- Strong partnership-building and collaborative skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge of online development/fundraising management tools
- Understanding of public school environment/culture is a plus
- Adherence to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Donor Bill of Rights

Responsibilities
- In coordination with the Development Committee of the Board, create and implement fundraising strategy and implementation plan
- Manage and maintain an online fundraising and donor management solution using eTapestry
- Create and manage a system to integrate leads from the Principal and the board into donor pipeline
- Personally lead and manage the development efforts to raise $500,000 annually
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate, foundation and individual donors
- Liaison with Principal to facilitate the grant process, interaction with donors and development of the campus needs assessment
- Manage and promote participation in campaigns, including North Texas Giving Day
- Research and write grant proposals and reports to corporations, foundations and other funders
- Develop and grow the individual donor base; increase number of monthly donors; cultivate major gifts and planned gifts
- Work in conjunction with the Board Chair to continue and expand Board engagement
- Manage the Introductory Meetings/Campus Tours and other communication programs to expand the donor base and build awareness
- Create monthly fundraising and stewardship reports and present the reports to the Board
- Coordinate with College Bound Advisor on updates, campus tours and student needs
- Hire and manage an administrative assistant
