Bryan’s House is a progressive, well-organized non-profit agency based in Dallas. We have an excellent national reputation for serving complex cases where at-risk children require daily therapy, and medically-managed childcare and respite care. Role

The Development Manager will build upon the progressive approaches our Development Officer and CEO, have laid out in our Development Plan. Working directly on revenue acquisition with set goals, social media calendar/marketing, Jubilee Society & Mighty Men Membership growth and volunteer coordination – you will need to be organized, a team player, flexible and work well under tight deadlines.

Essential Duties

     Volunteer Program

=        Coordinate volunteer opportunities with corporate groups and individuals on an annual basis

=        Maintain and enter all volunteer hours into the Bloomerang database

=        Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation

=        Manage volunteer policies, procedures, and standards of volunteer service

Jubilee Society

=        Pro-actively identify prospects, acquire them, invoice membership fees (twice annually), and build and maintain a membership prospect pipeline

=        Plan and lead our Jubilee Society membership acquisition and growth with set target goals

=        Draft a solicitation plan, building new and nurturing current relationships through a series of personal visits, meetings, events and follow up stewardship practices, using modern approaches and crowd or peer funding initiatives

Bryan’s House Mighty Men

=        Serve as a liaison for the Mighty Men group and assist to grow their role to serve our constituents through volunteer or fundraising events

Administration

=        Directly support the Development Officer in all technical aspects, administration and core paperwork needed for the implementation of annual fundraising campaigns to meet or exceed annual donation goals

=        Partner with the programs and development team to identify and coordinate story telling opportunities

=        Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of assigned special events

=        Input data into the donor database on prospects solicited and gifts/donations received for all campaigns and programs

=        Assist with other duties as assigned.

=        Tracks and reports progress to the Development Officer

=        Evaluates success and progress of accomplishing goals and refines business tactics as needed

=        Works with the staff in the cultivation/solicitation process as appropriate

=        Develops a deep understanding of Bryan’s House mission and goals to effectively communicate to the giving community

=        Utilizes and maintains administrative systems. These include program and the Bloomerang database, contact management and reporting systems

Skills

=        Requires BS/BA with a minimum of 2 years of experience in development and/or sales in a professional capacity.

=        Track record of success in developing, building and managing corporate or membership partnerships

=        Must have evidence of past success implementing processes to build/cultivate donor relationships and growing stewardship processes

=        Must possess outstanding presence, self-confidence & enthusiasm and be comfortable engaging with all levels of stakeholders

=        Work experience must demonstrate the ability to plan strategically and to successfully guide/execute special events

=        Excellent verbal and writing skills are required

=        Position demands the ability to positively interact internally as a team member as well as externally with donors and leadership members

=        Must have the ability to convene small groups of business/community leaders and entertain such groups with the intent of soliciting major donations or referrals to prospective donors

=        Demonstrated success in developing, accelerating, measuring, and influencing people, funders, organizations/programs

=        Experience working in a lean, collaborative, results-oriented environment

=        Strong project management and organization skills

=        Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking

=        Exemplary interpersonal and team-building skills

Desired

=        Understanding or exposure to working in the developing world is highly desired

=        Brings a positive, service-oriented approach to work

=        Is driven by creating unique and efficient solutions for funding challenges
