The Senior Development Manager, Corporate Giving is responsible for generating new support from corporations across Greater Dallas by promoting Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) as the preferred charity of choice for giving and volunteering. This position develops and implements a comprehensive, results-oriented fundraising plan and portfolio that drives new support from corporate donors through corporate giving, event sponsorships, corporate fundraising drives and employee giving campaigns. Minimum Qualifications: | Education, Experience, and Other Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in business, sales, marketing, communication, or a related discipline - Minimum five to 10 years corporate fundraising experience with proven track record of identifying and securing five to six figure corporate gifts. - Knowledge of fundraising and fundraising management systems and processes. - Facilitation, negotiation and closing skills - Thorough knowledge of non-profit development setting, project planning, prospect research, and general management skills - Effective, experienced and confident public speaker - Demonstrated facilitation skills to lead meetings with varying size audiences - Possess understanding of local market demographics - Demonstrated experience in establishing and executing successful recruitment strategies and developing partners through networking - Willingness and capability to learn other software as needed including proprietary database software used to track BBBS development and program activities - Knowledge and expertise in building and managing a team - Intermediate level proficiency in MSWord, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, including keyboard skills of 45 words per minute, error free - Flexibility and availability to accommodate weekday early/evening work hours and occasional weekend and overnight hours, as well as regular travel to varying venues within the Lone Star network - Willingness to work within culturally diverse environments |
